Tiffz Coffee Gallery @ Alor Setar, Kedah

Tiffz Coffee Gallery Menu

Tiffz Coffee Gallery is located in the heart of Pekan Simpang Kuala. This place has been recommended to me countless time by my friends over the years to try their food. However, I was only able to do so only recently with a group of friends. I went back a second time to try more of their food with my dad and brother.

The Food

Tiffz Burger Bomb – RM18

My friend ordered this burger which consists of charcoal bun, fried chicken, cheddar cheese, home recipe sauces and served with a side of cheese fries.

She let me have a bite to taste. The chicken was crispy and juicy, I couldn’t really make out the sauce but to me it tasted amazing. I love cheese! The cheesy fries were so good to the point of it being addictive. We were honestly contemplating ordering a plate of cheesy fries as it was just that good.

63c Carbonara – RM18

I ordered this. This carbonara came with a 63°c omega poached egg, chicken strips, shimeji mushroom, parmesan cheese, with home recipe cream sauce. There were 3 options to which you can choose your pasta to be which are, white, black or cheese baked. I chose the white option.

This is a dish I can’t get enough of. This is one of the best carbonara I’ve ever eaten and I can’t recommend it enough. I finished every last drop of the sauce and my plate was almost clean!

Say Cheese – RM18

Another friend of mine ordered this pasta. This came with 63°C omega poached egg, dried bonito flakes (katsuboshi), chicken strips, with home recipe cheese sauce. She chose the black option for her pasta.

The taste of this pasta was quite similar to the carbonara that I had. The only difference was that the sauce was a bit more cheesier. I got to taste this as well and this pasta was so good!’

Green Secret – RM18

My other friend ordered this. This came with 63°C omega poached egg, chicken cubes, parmesan cheese and garlicky spinach sauce. She chose the white option for her pasta.

This isn’t what I would usually order for myself so I didn’t have high expectations for the taste. I was pleasantly taken back with surprise at how good it tasted when she let me have a taste. Though, if I had to choose, 63°C Carbonara would still be my favourite.

Fusion Aglio Olio – RM18

This pasta came with garlic, red pepper flakes, mixed herbs, calamari slice, crabstick slice and broccoli. My dad chose the white option for his pasta.

According to him, Tiffz is one of the few places that gives that much of toppings for this kind of price. And also, in terms of taste, it was not bad.

#Haamtan Burger – RM19

My brother ordered this burger. This burger came with charcoal bun, fried chicken coated with salted egg sauces and served with a side a cheese fries.

Personally, I felt that the salted egg sauce was too overpowering. The fried chicken was also a bit dry. This was quite a letdown as the rest of the food that I’ve tried in Tiffz Coffee Gallery was amazing.

BlackPink – RM19

I ordered this the second time I went to Tiffz Coffee Gallery. It had charcoal burger bun, fried chicken, cheddar cheese, kimchi, secret Ra-Bokki sauces served with a side of cheese fries.

I love kimchi! So, when I saw this burger I couldn’t resist not trying it as I had not tried a kimchi burger before. To my surprise, this burger was so good! The kimchi was a bit spicy but it complements the rest of the burger.

Drinks

Hot Nutty Latte – RM12

My dad ordered this. The latte art was mesmerising. But that is to be expected seeing that they managed to achieve being the 3rd runners up in the Malaysia Latte Art Championship 2022.

Although, according to my dad, it coffee was missing a bit of a “kick” but other than that it was okay.

Dessert

Maleficent – RM17

This was a stack of 3 black waffles, served with a scoop of matcha ice cream and a scoop of cookies & cream ice cream and a bit of koko krunch. I’m not much of a match fan but this matcha ice cream was quite nice.

Para para Sakura – RM19

This came with 3 waffles coated with powdered sugar, served with sakura ice cream and an assortment of fruits made up of strawberries, grapes and blueberries. This was my first time having sakura ice cream so in my opinion this ice cream was not too bad.

Verdict

As you can see, one visit is not enough to try out everything they have to offer and so far what I have tried did not disappoint. I’ve heard good things of their pizza as well and I can’t wait to go back there and try it!

I would highly recommend this place if you’re after good food and generally a place to chill and hang out with your friends and family. Parking is quite limited as it is in Pekan Simpang Kuala, so I would suggest that you either get there earlier before the lunch crowd.
