Pokémon GO Fest 2020 – Day 2

IMG_9917.JPG

Pokémon GO Fest 2020 Day 2 is upon us, and the second day is themed around Team GO Rocket and their plan to takeover the world of Pokémon GO (it’s no surprise since there’s plenty annoying hot air balloons that hover around you in the game lately).

Today boosts a special research story – GO Fest 2020: Rocket Straight to Victory. Completing the story will unlock encounters with Shadow Articuno, Shadow Moltres, Shadow Zapdos, Shadow Mewtwo, Victini, and also a Victini Shirt for your avatar. It is recommended to complete the research story today as Team Rocket are appearing more frequently and are generally weaker in strength today (I was able to finish off Rocket Boss Giovanni in one go with ease today!). Though Day 2 was different, I kinda missed the Global Challenges and rotating habitats by the hour that was available in Day 1.

To answer the question was it worth it? – Be prepared to spend quite a significant bit of time as the event lasts from 10 AM to 8 PM, that’s 10 hours a day, 20 hours over two days (though I played about 3-4 hours each day)! But I would say it’s a motivation to get out of the house and move about outside.

Would I buy it again? – I will consider buying next year’s ticket if it’s still a global event and slightly cheaper.
