[Sabah Travels Series] Travelling in the Mountains – 小陈巴巴 BW Bus Restaurant @ Kundasang, Sabah

After visiting the Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, it was time for dinner! In a small town like Kundasang, it’s pretty hard to find restaurants to dine in. We managed to Google a place to eat called BW Bus Restaurant. It was located nearby to where we were at (approximately 10 km away from Desa Cattle Dairy Farm – ok not really nearby).

As the name suggests, it’s literally a restaurant in a bus. It’s an out-of the box themed restaurant that makes it an instagram-worthy place. They are apparently famed for their coconut gelato (RM5 a cup). However, I found it meh, I prefer Sankaya‘s coconut ice-cream any day.

There is quite a number of parking available outside the buses (restaurant?). However, the road leading to the place is rather steep though. Do drive safe on the steep windy roads.

Despite the place being insta-worthy… the food could be better. The service was slow, the portions were small, and it’s rather pricey considering the small portion. They charge KL cafe prices for smaller portions than in KL. I tried their Hawaiian Pizza for RM18.90, and it was disappointing. It had very little toppings, though they were quite generous with the cheese.

I’d probably not go back there again if I ever visit the area again.
