Strangers at 47 @ Seksyen 17, Petaling Jaya

Looking for crepes? Strangers at 47 is a place to go to! They have crepes ranging from savoury to sweet. I am a frequent patron to this restaurant, ever since 2015. The restaurant has expanded since then. They now have an exclusive event space should patrons wish to host events here.

Parking can be a problem here, given that they are located at a housing area, and there are a number of eateries along the road. Most of the time I have to resort to park at the housing area, or beside the main road (warning: traffic police often come by and saman cars parking illegally!).

Service has been and still is great since I first visited this restaurant. Most of their staff are young and energetic, ever eager to answer any questions you may have on their menu.

The restaurant is also perfect if you would like to just chill or study / work. However, it can be rather noisy during the peak hours / weekends. Do expect a waiting line if so wish to visit during peak periods.

Big Breakfast Crepe – RM26

The food is great! My all time favourite is their Big Breakfast Crepe (BBC)… wholemeal crepe, Spanish chicken sausage, smoked chicken ham, butter sautéed portobellos, spinach, golden hash brown, scrambled eggs (or sunny side up should you prefer) and caramelised onions on baked beans. The whole package doesn’t come cheap though, RM24.50 before service tax (or RM26 inclusive of service tax).

Eggcited Over Cheese – RM27.55

Another favourite of mine is their Eggcited Over Cheese… house-made tomato basil sauce, chicken chorizo, caramelised onion, baked mozzarella cheese, golden hash brown, sunny side up wrapped in a wholemeal crepe. Unlike the BBC, everything is wrapped in the crepe, rather than served separately. This kind of tastes like pizza, but in a crepe! Ordering this would set you back RM26 (or RM27.55 inclusive of service tax).

Verdict – Recommended!

Nonetheless, though it may be a little pricey against your average cafe, you do get the quality and taste for the price you pay at this restaurant.

On a side note, they do accept e-Wallets, like GrabPay and FavePay (pay it with Boost to get double-tiered cashback!).

If you love egg, you can try another restaurant down the road called Omulab.
